It is that time of year where the families of Turlock become anxious for the final game before playoffs: Harvest Bowl, the game that determines which school is superior. As spectators rush through the Joe Debely Stadium gates they are bombarded with mixtures of favorful smells. As they turn the corner towards the fan-filled Dog Pound the first thing they see is the Concession stand.

The seemingly never-ending line stretches out towards the bathrooms. In previous years, food was not a main focus during Harvest Bowl games; however, this year Pitman changed this trend. They incorporated the same typical football game foods: tri-tip sandwich, nachos, slice of pumpkin pie, linguica sandwich, pizza, hot dog, candy, as well as new ones like brats and BBQ chicken sandwich.

Instead of flopping the tastes of the fulfilling foods like past years they added new flavors increasing the popularity of the concession stand. All in all this year by far outshined previous years given they turned food into an important aspect of the anticipated game.

THS crowd works up an appetite.
