Turlock High School is a closed campus, meaning the administration does not want anyone on or off-campus, not even to deliver food. This includes food delivery services such as Grubhub, DoorDash, or Postmates, and even parents dropping off food for their child. In light of the recent hoax involving someone posing as an administrator reporting a school shooter on campus, it is becoming clearer on why the administration is taking this position. Having inviting strangers onto campus and having them either walk on to campus or have students walk to their cars does pose a safety concern. Although students are sorely disappointed in the limited choices for food, we should be more understanding of the school’s concerns for our safety.
